As an ordained minister, Dr. Jeremiah Peck has served in Christian church ministry since 2005. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington, Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oregon, a board certified Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) through the NBCC, a board certified Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) through the CCE, and an Assistant Professor of Counseling at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Peck has earned a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky, and both a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies, both from Multnomah University. Jeremiah has also completed specialized training and certifications, including Prepare-Enrich, Gottman Level I and Level II training, Compassion Fatigue Therapist and Educator through Green Cross Academy of Traumatology , and Treating Sexual Addiction through the American Association of Christian Counselors .
In his clinical work, Jeremiah specializes in issues regarding feelings of depression and anxiousness, as well as grief, loss, childhood trauma, abuse, and self-esteem and self-worth. Jeremiah also specializes in marriage counseling, especially in situations involving high conflict and distress. His marriage workshop and workbook Cultivating Closeness has been toured and been featured in Pacific Northwest area churches.
